If gentrification was a snack, it probably would be an avocado hummus toast sprinkled with pumpkin seeds. Avocado’s became something of a craze in the latter part of this decade. The demand for avocados has quadrupled in the last few years. This dark green fruit is now known as a “superfood”. This is not exactly news for the peeps from the Caribbean and Americas who been eating avocados for a while now. All this demand for avocados comes with a price.
